Between us, we’ve worked hundreds of weddings, built profitable businesses, and earned national recognition—all while staying rooted in the Midwest.
But we don’t treat our career like an after-school activity.
We’re navigating trends, timelines, and client expectations on the daily.
This means we’re not teaching what worked in 2019. We’re sharing what works right now.
And together, we’ve created a space that’s part classroom, part community, and fully committed to your growth.

Emily and Trent host their first Content Carousel. Kate doesn't know they exist. Yet.
Landlocked Luxury 1.0 planned and produced within a 5 month timeframe. Kate, Emily and Trent officially go into business together, LLC and all!
Kate, Emily and Trent meet in real life for the first time. The concept of Landlocked Luxury is born.
Kate launches Kate's Party People and grows a virtual education community for wedding pros.
We’ve built nationally recognized businesses without the coastal zip codes, and we’re here to help you do the same.
Landlocked Luxury officially takes over Kate's Party People. Together, Kate, Emily and Trent are rewriting education for the wedding industry.
From a young age, Kate’s passion for hospitality and design was unmistakable. She was always drawn to the magic of curated experiences and well-set tables, and in 2012, transformed that lifelong love into Kate + Company.
Today, Kate leads a team that blends concierge-level service with refined design sensibilities, bringing a fresh, elevated energy to the event world. Her work has been recognized by top publications, including Vogue, BRIDES, and Martha Stewart Weddings.
When she’s not leading the charge in fabulous heels or a pair of statement earrings, Kate is likely off exploring with her family. Those adventures continue to fuel her creativity and inspire the next unforgettable celebration.
Emily is a wedding photographer based in Saint Louis and owns the newly opened 20th Street Studios. Her approach to photography and business is bright, joyful, and authentic, just like her personality. Her work has been featured in Southern Bride Magazine, Saint Louis Bride, Design STL, and Chic Vintage Bride.
The relationships Emily has built within the wedding industry sparked a secondary passion for building community and creative collaboration.
She co-hosts a free club for local photographers at her studio, continues working on creative ventures alongside local small businesses, and is truly the wedding industry's biggest cheerleader.
Trent is a fine-art wedding and portrait photographer serving the Midwest and beyond. He began his career path early in life, photographing his first wedding at just 15 years old, and then studied fine-art photography in college.
Since then, Trent has focused on creating a one-of-a-kind experience for each couple and event planner he works with. Over the past 10 years, he's expanded his business through referrals alone—and that's something he's extremely proud of.
Never forgetting where he started is a key factor in his success. Trent believes in paying it forward. He continues to grow his career by lending a helping hand to other vendors, which has yielded close relationships and a strong network of wedding professionals.
